  Remi Benali born in France in 1963. He worked with the photo agency Gamma for twelve years, including three years as a foreign press correspondent in the United States. He is currently independent. His journeys have led him to over 60 countries--from the Russian North Pole to the Sahara Desert, from the remote jungles of Sumatra to the Indian rituals in the Andes mountains. His personal work celebrates the living remnants of a vanishing past, with a focus on rituals and traditions, tribal cultures and UNESCO World Heritage sites in peril. An award-winning photographer (including the Pictures of the Year Competition in 1997), Remi Benali`s work has appeared in numerous international publications such as Time, Life, Newsweek, the Sunday Times, Paris-Match, Stern, Geo (german, spanish and korean editions), El Pais, El Mundo, La Repubblica Delle Donne, Specchio, and Le Figaro, National Geographic Adventure.
