Great Excursions' C-J Harel to moderate CFBMC international Agriwebminar Series

The Canadian Farm Business Management Council (CFBMC) has asked Claude-Jean Harel, President and CEO of The Great Excursions Company, to act as moderator for its 2007/2008 Agriwebminar Series. Agriwebminars are web-based conferences bringing the expertise of today’s agricultural leaders to the forefront. These presentations will inform and inspire participants from the comfort of their home or office, wherever they are.

“Great Excursions’ on-going collaboration with the CFBMC—with the Agriwebminars in particular—is a concrete example of how companies involved in the tourism sector are realizing that the way to prosperity for Canada’s tourism industry is innovation at all levels of the value chain,” Harel said. “For this to happens, all barriers, real or imagined, between agriculture, tourism and all sectors of the Canadian economy need to be eliminated. The CFBMC’s Agriwebminars are a creative way to help make this happen. They play a key role in nurturing authenticity in agricultural product experiences, something which has the potential to significantly enhance Canada's tourism offering."

Series presenters include agricultural producers, scientists and business experts from across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Australia. Presentations are available in French and English.
