Underground
Are you the type of person who likes to explore destinations away from the mainstream? Do you like to go "behind the scenes" to take stock of how places work? How history unfolded? What natural forces are at work? Going underground-style need not be a journey into the depths of the earth. It's about getting to the roots of neighbourhoods and districts, mills and farms, workplaces and landscapes. It's about the lure of the local. It's lan excursions tyhat "off the grid" with expert guides. It's about taking stock of the exotic character of reality. We may not have all the answers to your questions, but we'll do our best to ensure you never run out of questions to ask.

Volunteer
Voluntourism combines vacation travel with volunteering at the destination visited. It's also spawned a new vocabulary: voluntourist, ethical holidays, travel philanthropy, and more. Voluntourism is aligned with the more established concept of "sustainable tourism," defined by Sustainable Travel International as "lessening the toll that travel and tourism takes on the environment and local cultures." This travel style is a seamlessly integrated combination of voluntary service to a destination, and the best, traditional elements of travel - arts, culture, geography, history and recreation - in that destination. More simply put, Voluntourism is travelling to another place to directly interact with the destination and its residents with the objective of improving their well-being through socio-cultural development or environmental conservation by providing volunteer assistance and/or good and services.

Weddings
The ever-popular destination wedding, affectionately called the "weddingmoon", combines the wedding, reception and honeymoon together in one location. The destination wedding is generally held at a desirable location that allows the wedding guests to vacation and spend more quality time with the wedding couple. It typically involves under 40 people and a few days of activities for all the guests. The destination wedding is the central location that the bride and groom chose as their "headquarters". Activities are then planned for their guests from this location. These destination weddings can be an exotic destination or the hometown in which you grew up.

Winter
Much of the Canadian landscape is blanketed in snow in winter, with snowfall beginning in late October and temperatures generally going below the freezing point. However, winters are much milder on the west coast, where if any snow falls, it doesn't stay long, and golfers have been known to hit the links year-round. Canadian winters offer ideal conditions for dream ski vacations. The ski season runs from December until late March in the east, and extends to late May (and sometimes even June) in the ski hills of the west.
